SPECIAL

Starting with this issue we are serializing an autobiographical novel by Susan Rosenberg.

“Susan's Story”, the autobiography of an American born woman in search of her Jewish identity.

Susan Rosenberg, poetess, writer and humanist, takes us through the journeys of her life, beginning with her anti-religious, assimilated Jewish family in Philadelphia, through her quests for the meaning of life and God. She tries on various religions for size, before, due to the advice of a Catholic priest, she continues her search within Judaism.  Her marriage to an observant U.S. Naval officer, Dick Rosenberg, in 1942 is the turning point in her life.

We walk with her through the birth of their five children, their moves to and from and back again to Israel, the difficulties encountered in the austerity of the new State.  All told in Susan's compellingly beautiful style, with clarity, humor and compassion.  It is difficult to put this story down, no matter your faith.
