Tamar Gerchuk was born in Haifa Israel in 1954. Her mother was an author, painter, sculptor and an astrologer. Tamar was brought up in this environment and started learning about the basics of painting under the tutoring of her mother. She is a member of the Israel Painters and Sculptors Association and has had solo exhibitions and participated in group exhibitions in Haifa. In 2007 Tamar accompanied by her late mother Nehama Gerchuk appeared in a TV film photographed by Hana Biro and in 2009 she produced an illustrated children's book which had a solo exhibition at the "Bible Museum" in Tel-Aviv.
